Airplane Beauty Essentials.

I like to travel a lot, but I find that flights, especially long-haul, do me no favours. I end up getting off with dull, dehydrated skin and limp, lifeless hair. I have compiled a list of essentials which I will never travel without again and I thought I would share them with you guys.

From L-R:
Evian Facial Spray
Lo Roche-Posay micellar water
Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask
Indeed Labs Hydraluron
Carmex lip-balm

I wear make up to the airport but when I first get on the plane and it takes off, I wait until everybody has settled down and then promptly make my way to the restroom. There I remove my make up. Last time I traveled I brought La Roche-Posays' micellar water with me because I happened to have a travel sized version. It did the job and I was very happy. I brush my hair and pop it into a bun. Rinse my face with cold water. I then apply some Hydraluron. I believe that it holds 1,000 times its own weight in water and that is just what you need when you are going to be in an air-conditioned environment for a number of hours.

I adore Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. You may have noticed - I rave about it all the time. This is an all time favourite product for me and perfect for flights. It soaks into your skin so you don't have to worry about anybody knowing you are wearing a face mask. I top it up during the flight if I feel I need to.

Evian Facial Spray (or any facial spray) is great for when you need some extra moisture, or even to refresh you if you've taken a nap. I just spritz it on and allow it to absorb. There is nowhere on earth I would go without my Carmex. A lip-balm is an essential.

Before the plane lands, I, again, freshen up my face up a micellar water. Then it is time to try hide the sleep deprivation! Make up calling!

From L-R:
NARS Larger Than Life eyeliner in Rue Bonaparte
Benefit High Beam
Maybelline Great Lash Mascara
Rimmel Clear Complexion powder
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz

I will be honest - if I have been sitting on a plane for 8 hours plus, I am not in the mood to put on a full face of make up. I simply want to look somewhat presentable to the outside world. I will brighten up my eyes by applying a nude eyeliner. I find this helps with making me look more awake as my eyes can get quite red. My eyeliner of choice is, as always, by NARS in the colour Rue Bonaparte.

I dust some Rimmel Clear Complexion powder over my face, to avert shine and use Benefit High Beam on my cheekbones and the very corner of my eyes to brighten.

As make up is at an extreme minimum, I stick with a natural looking mascara. For this I really do not think that you can beat Great Lash by Maybelline. It is so cheap too and also quite neatly packaged. It is probably one of the smallest mascara tubes I have ever owned. Great when space is tight!

Finally, eyebrows! A must have in my book. I define mine using Brow Wiz in Brunette by Anastasia Beverly Hills. Everybody looks instantly more put together with good brows!

Before disembarking the plane, I take my hair down and spray some sea salt texturising spray into it. I think tousled, messy hair looks so much better than trying to comb through and battle with hair that has been up for a long time.

Those are my travel essentials, I hope you enjoyed! Do please share any tips with me, or products you're loving for travel. Also, stay tuned as I will be doing a small giveaway soon. To be in with a chance to win, simply follow my blog :)
